Terms & Conditions



All rates are quoted in New Zealand Dollars on a per night basis and include GST of 15%. All accounts must be settled directly with Apollo Hotel Rotorua in New Zealand Dollars.


Age: You must be 18yrs or over.
All reservations, bookings and enquiries can be made by Email or Facsimile and will be replied to within 24-48 hours. For instant confirmation please reserve via our website or alternatively call us directly.

Arrival and Departure Times

Check in time is 2pm.
Upon arrival, each guest will be required to sign a registration form, and accept the terms and conditions theirin of his/her stay.

Check out time is 10am
Subject to the availablity on the day of departure, late check-out may be available, please check with reception should you require this facility. There may be a charge applied for a late check out.

Late Check in

All Guests are required to check in by 8pm on Weekdays and 5:00pm on Weekends/Public holidays. If you are checking in outside these hours, please phone us to arrange key collection.

Cancellation/Payment policy:

Hot Deal:

Any "Hot Deals" we may be running are to be fully prepaid, and no amendment or cancellations are available for these special deals. These deals are Non refundable. Valid Credit Card payment is required for all reservations. Your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the stay at time of booking. A valid credit card will be requested upon checkin.

Flexi Deal:

Supply of credit card details to guarantee reservation. Cancellations must be made no less then 48 hours prior to arrival or a charge of one (1) nights accommodation will be incurred onto the Guest’s credit card. Please note if packaged/special deal/events, the payment terms specified will override this and the terms & conditions.


Smoking inside the Apartments or Building is illegal in New Zealand as per the Smokefree Environments Act 1990. Any one smoking in the building may be asked to leave and there may also be a charge of $150.00 as per the guest registration card.

Child Policy

Children 5 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult and using existing bedding. In circumstances where additional beds or bedding are required, the extra person rate will apply. We also note that it is the parent’s responsibility to supervise the child at all times while staying at Apollo Hotel Rotorua.


Visitors are permitted at the management’s discretion. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property.
The following behaviour is considered to be unacceptable.

  • Willful damage to property belonging to Apollo Hotel Rotorua, its investors, other guests, employees of Apollo Hotel Rotorua or residents of the building.
  • Possession or use of any controlled or illegal drug or prohibited plant within the confines of the building.
  • Disorderly conduct of any kind, including fighting or attempted bodily injury to another person within the confines of the building.
  • Threatening, intimidation or interfering with other guests, residents and employees or members of the public within the confines of the building.
  • Use of profane, abusive language to guests, residents, and employees or members of the public within the confines of the building.
  • Excessive noises that cause disturbance to other guests or residents of the hotel.
  • Disregard for ‘Emergency Evacuation Procedure’ of Apollo Hotel staff in the event of an emergency, please familiarise yourself with our Emergency Evacuation Procedure. The instructions are located near your apartment's main entrance.
  • The Management of Apollo Hotel Rotorua reserves the right to request immediate payment and departure from its establishment of any guest or visitor who breaches any part of the Code of Conduct.

Force Majeure

The Hotel will not be liable for any non-performance of its obligations in the event such non-performance is caused or contributed by riot, fire, war, terrorist acts, Acts of God, labour dispute, government regulations, flood and other force majeure events.

The Management of Apollo Hotel Rotorua advises that the above is not a complete list of all acts that might be considered as justifiable reason to request the immediate payment and departure from its establishment of any guest or visitor. It is an indication only, and there may well be other acts of inappropriate behaviour, which will result in a guest or visitor being requested to pay and depart immediately from its establishment.
